Over a decade of professional experience working for some of the leading Baltic region law firms and as an intellectual property in-house counsel for a major international company, managing a portfolio with more than 250 trademarks from all over the world.
Studied International Trademark Law at Aarhus University in Denmark. In 2011 defended a master's thesis on the topic "Civil protection of trademark rights" and obtained a master's degree in law at the University of Latvia.

Developed and taught a course on intellectual property rights for MBA students at RISEBA University of Business, Arts and Technology. Is a supervisor for LL.M. students researching and writing theses at Riga Graduate School of Law.
